Change alchemy: Honouring the past

Change means a break with the past. Even though such change is necessary, it is a wise leader who recognises all the efforts that have gone on before. Adopting a ‘year zero’ approach is unlikely to help build consensus and motivation towards a new future.

Being able to show the links the past with the present and the future will help to smooth the way towards that future.
